land I say Ray use your head as a speed bag. so what , jack fights the way he was taught. Nick is as good a fighter as there is but his style doesn't match up well that's all. Jack got rocked and did what he had to to clear his head ...no one is going to use his head as a speed bag.

Jack got rocked and did what he had to, to clear his head ...no one is going to use his head as a speed bag.... had to clear up the type O's :)

i guess if i were a father i wouldn't want to see my kid get hit a lot either. i just don't like that style of fighting. i know there are other ways to clear your head than turning your back and running away. i don't think i ever saw Holyfield turn his back on an opponent, or Ali, or Frazier, or Masato, or Andy Sauer when they got hurt. these guys were all champions and have something inside of them that just doesn't let them back down or look afraid. if jack felton is supposed to be one of the elite 147 pounders and be put on an allstar list shouldn't he show that kind of resolve and not back down or be afraid when he's hurt? of course when you're hurt you don't want to get hit again, but you're never supposed to show it to your opponent. maybe i'm wrong. i'm just kind of old school that way. jack is still young and talented, something i'm not, so with experience he will get better. take care of your him bigj, he's a good kid.

raymond didn't use my head as a speed bag....he used it more like a heavy bag. my head doesn't move that much Very Happy

lol one thing about the wcl is you can't lay up on the ropes to clear your head you got to do what you got to do. The difference between 9 points and zero points is huge. there is a difference between fear and stupid. Jack is just now starting to develop an inside game. to fight your opponents fight isn't smart and just plain stupid when you've been caught with one. as far as style in concerned , I understand I never liked the rock em sock em robotic fighting. It's like watching 1950's boxing. What's difficult for jack is he has lived off a defensive side kick thrown with your back turned on a blitzing opponent. even though it isn't seen int he wcl instincts still take over.

Lawson, Jack moved up into the adults with Ray and Jason dominating both have size on him. This is why you'll see him at times with his back to you...That's Ray in the Red and Jack in the Blue. If the post works

Jack, this is a very cool picture. This is a technique that takes athleticism and excellent timing to make work. It works well in point matches were the action is stopped. This is a very risky kick that is best not used in any full-contact fighting arena. Landing with you back turned to your opponent is not good!

Felton showed a lot of improvement this year against game opponents. His speed and timing is excellent. He needs to get used of being hit mainly, and that takes time and lots of hard sparring to accomplish. There is no doubt that this division is a tough one in the WCL!

ya, during the off season we'll be focusing on his inside game. Know of any good trainers in the so cal area. Plus we'll get him back with Mr. Smith sometime in the near future.

My point was, in the point game if you were in trouble you'd try to get a fighter to chase you, that probably won't happen in the wcl but people will go on instinct when they aren't thinking clearly.
