This has got to be the best event I have been to since the Western Conference Playoffs in Austin last year. There were A LOT of knockouts and great fights. The fans made this event though, they were awesome. I am not a big Oklahoma fan, but the people around me sure were and they made the event even better. I found myself cheering for Oklahoma at times just because of the people around me.
I thought newcomer Brandon Hastings for LA was great. With the addition of Hastings the LA team was even better than they were at the LA vs. OK event in Denver and they dominated Texas. In the Denver vs. Oklahoma match-ups, I thought the Longacre vs. J. Johnson fight was the most exciting and even match-up and Eddie Burris (man is that guy big) was the most dominate fighter with two KO’s that night. |

I agree, this is the 4th WCL event that I have been to and the production as well as the fights were top notch. It was nice to see the Destroyers get their first win in front of a home town crowd. I think the crowd was good but it could have been great. The fight fans in Oklahoma will turn out for events, but between the weather and well not the best advertising it wasnt the best. I just hope for the event in Feb that we get the crowd that the WCL deserves.
Over all Great Job WCL! I had a blast! |
