As a fan of the WCL I have absolute respect for all the fighters. But I do challenge the "Warrior Mentality" of one of the fighters. It is rumored that Tim Connors refuses to fight Thomas "Thunderkick" Longacre outside the WCL in a kickboxing bout. I don't know how true the rumor is but if this is the case I am very disappointed in Connors. A true warrior backs down from no opposition. I can understand however if you are afraid of Thomas ( I WOULD BE TOO).

Both guys are really good fighters and don't really think that there is any back down in either. I would imagine if such a fight was on the table the only thing would keep it from happening would be the fact that kickboxing in the US pays less than the average busboy makes in a week. (sad, but true). Tim Connors takes mostly boxing matches outside WCL for that reason.

hmmm I think I watched all of connors fights on youtube and none of the fighters who hit the canvas looked Irish to me

Tim did get KO'd in the last round. It was a great fight and the fighter that won has only one defet.

I know Timmy outside the ring. he never shuts down. he is full intensity in everything he does. the fight in may at Scott Trade Center was a BATTLE. It was fought to the very end. Tim never gave up, and if it had gone to the cards it would have been a split for sure. I've seen alot of boxing matches. In STL , on TV around the world, Classic fighters on video. Tim would never back down from a fight. I have even seen him square off 6 ON 1 and let a smile creap onto my fiace as all 6 backed down and left.
