How do you guys feel about the new team? I think it shows that the league is gonna expand and is here to stay. The only problem I see is there are not a lot of spots being filled. I am still on a mission and Im NEVER giving up on trying to get a spot on a team. I haven't heard any updates on teams that are filled up. Coaches...... IM STILL HERE, STILL TRAINING, STILL HUNGARY.

Somebody give this guy a job.... He lost to two very good WCL fighters and hung with Crafton Wallace longer than a couple others that Crafton took down.

Good luck Bad Boy...

Thanks a lot 210, im training like I have a spot. nobody has promised me anything. I just want to show (2) coaches that I can fight at my original weight of 165lbs. And hang with the best of them. I appreciate your support and hope someone else out there agrees. WCL is all im eating, sleeping and bleeding. God Bless.

I think the addition of a new team means the WCL is growing. It would be awesome to see even more teams and I know their have to be plenty of great fighters to fill those teams. Guess we'll have to be patient...after all this was only the first year! Can't wait for 2007...whenever that will be.

Has the WCL grown? The article implies the new teams, NJ and St. Louis, are replacing New England and Philadelphia leaving the same total of teams in the East as there were in year one. Looks like more shuffling of cities than net growth. Will the same 4 cities be represented again in the West, or have there been replacements there? Does anyone know?

I totally missed that. Thanks Mark for pointing that out. That is really a bummer as I was hoping the WCL was growing and not just shuffling teams and cities. The one thing I hate about the WCL is lack of information in advance.

I'm sure things will be changing for a while. I never did get use to the fact the colts left baltimore but the teams will got where there are buyers. I'm looking forward to this season besides new teams there wwill be some teams that are going to reorganize pick up some free agents.

What re-orgs do you know of? I heard a rumor a couple of western cities might be changed.

With the rather low attendance at the WCL events I don't think there will be a public outcry from any of the locals about losing their team to another city. Maybe some day.

You might have had a hard time getting over the Colts move because they were in Baltimore over 30 yeas. Or could it be because they were the first team to have cheerleaders?

I do not mind the adding teams or moving teams at this stage in the league's history. Right now, I identify with the fighters more than the cities that the teams are from. If these changes need to be made, I am glad that they are making them now instead of after the upcoming season.

Also, as far as attendance, there were two events in Austin, and the second one had far more people than the first. Hopefully, this means that once people see the league, they come back for more (and bring their friends).

I think at the second Austin event, the championships, the WCL made a great gesture to our military and brought some where around 5,000 of them in at no charge. That was an excellent and generous move but the attendance doesn't reflect what number of paying customers the WCL may be able to attract to an event.

the are more fans than I think we are aware of. look at the first mma events . the more the contro the more the exposure the more interest. I figure it will still take a couple of years to get this off the ground. the issue will be wether or not the WCL can get enough sponorship to pay these guys enough to get the type of talent to get this thing going on its own. The better atheletes may not want to do this if the money isn't enough. You can always get the shark bate but you have enough sharks to get the publics interest.

I wish WCL included throws like Sanshou and shootboxing does.

with that said, does anyone know how to form a team and can teams from countries outside the US compete?

I don't expect much from the Schulmann team. I have been to a few of their schools in NJ. They are very commercial and expensive. Rank seemed easy to obtain with the only impediment being money for the tests. Maybe I was at a few bad schools. That is always possible. Franchises however, are destined to water things down. They are established to make money. If you can fight as a result, great, if you can't well that's your fault right? I don't think so.

ANYONE INTERESTED IN TRYING OUT FOR THE NEW JERSEY TIGERS CAN FILL OUT AN APLICATION AT TSK.COM. I FOUND IT AFTER SEEING LYMAN GOOD AT THE IFL SHOW IN NEW JERSEY. HE PEAKED MY INTERESR IN A DOMINATING WIN OVER AN IFL POSTER BOY. IF HE IS ANY INDICATION I THINK THE NEW JERSEY TEAM WILL BE GOOD.
