Houston wins in a close one on a strong effort from Connors and lack luster performance by Engel.
LA wins in a blowout over Philadelphia. Daniels dominated Thompson for the forty-five seconds that they faught (before Thompson got injured). Vickers and Bourelly both dominated with KO's. |

zfighter, are you Stephen Thompson's girlfriend or the president of his fan club? Suffice it to say that more than a few people, including everyone in my section at the fight, were not overwhelmed by Thompson and felt like Daniels would have won the fight had it finished. |

No, i'm not his girlfriend or the president of his fanclub. I just happen to be his brother. Like everyone else has been saying. The fight was only 30 seconds. If you actually think your good enough to decide an outcome in that short of time then why aren't you a judge. it's because you don't know what your talking about. We'll just have to wait and see who it will really be won't we. You can root for Daniels and i'll root Stephen. |

zfighter, I stand corrected then, as Stephen's brother, you have probably have seen hundreds of his fights and obviously know him much better as a fighter than I do (or probably ever will). I have seen Daniels fight 4 times and Stephen fight four times (other than Saturday) and my interpretation of their short fight was based on what I had seen and what I saw for 30 secs. Is Stephen normally a better (more aggressive) fighter later in rounds? If so, I can see your point that nobody knows for sure what would have happened. At any rate, best of luck to your brother in his rehab and I hope he recovers fully and is ready to go next year. The league is certainly better with him, but I will still be betting on Daniels. |

Stephen is a fighter that can addapt to his opponent faster than anyone else can. Daniels is not a bad fighter, dont get me wrong, but he has never fought anyone like Stephen or has he felt power like Stephens. Stephen has it all SPEED, POWER, REACTION TIME and he's able to anticipate poeples moves because his reaction time is so good. I have only heard that Daniels is just really fast. He does have the power to knock people out. WE have seen that but he doesn't have power like Stephen and to tell you the truth, he's not that much faster either. Stepehen knows when he needs to pick it up in a fight so I can't really say that he's more aggressive later in the rounds. He kinda spreads it all out throught the entire match. Daniels is a good fighter and Stephen is a good fighter but Stephen has more experience as a kickboxer than Daniels and he's fought every type of person you can think of ranging from fast to strong to even plain out scary freakin hairy. That one was at the Mohegan Sun WCL last year. So, all we can do is just wait. |

zfighter, feel free to disregard this if you feel the information is private, but is Stephen expecting a full recovery soon or was the injury longer term? It looked really bad from the stands. |

Yea, I am curious as well, it happened right in front of me and I still don't know what happened or how he twisted his knee. I really could not even tell from the replay. Can you elaborate a bit.
And best wishes to Stephen I am really hoping that a rematch happens as I thought neither of them had established an advantage prior to the injury. |
