Bigj,

I look at the pointfighting board every once in a while (to see if they have anything to say about the WCL) and saw that you posted some information on WCL fighters' performance at their tournament in Ireland. Can you give us an update on how they did? I (and I'm sure others) would love to know.

Also, if there is anybody else who knows what these guys and girls are doing in the offseason, let us know...

no problem, The US Allstars who have WCL fighters Ray, Jason and Felton as their main fighters fought over in europe at the Irish Open (WAKO) in dublin Ireland. Prize money was (I think, I heard they upped it) 4000 Euro's for teams and 2000 Euro's for individual .

The US allstars beat teams from all over the world;
Canada X 2 Teams,,Italy x 11 Teams,England x 22 Teams,Germany x 3 Teams,Austria x 2 Teams,Wales x 2 Teams,Belgium x 2 Teams,Norway x 3 Teams, Switzerland x 2 Teams, Lichtenstein Team, Scotland x 4,Croatia Team, Poland team, Slovenia Team, Greece x 3 Teams, Portugal x 2 Teams, France Team, Macedonia team as well as a couple of allstar teams from all over Europe

Sat is team and individual in the individual they have well over 200 competitors in four rings by random draw and not by weight. Ray won overall and beat the guy who beat Felton in the semi's and Jason lost in the other semi to a great german fighter. They both lost by 1 point.

On Sun they fight by weight Ray didn't fight and Felton was the only american who won his division..his division had 89 fighters..in his final match his opponent bowed out Felton was just beating the hell of them so I'm told. Felton had around twenty or more fights in those 2 days. His divison took over 7 hours.

remember the allstars were in greece in Jan and Felton lost to Ray in the finals in a close one ...and again those matches are not by weight..

Those WCL fighters I hope will be able to market the WCL more directly overseas as well as represent the U.S.A

Considering how poor he's been doing in MMA, maybe the WCL should recruit Kit Cope to come kick around some fresh blood. Of course he failed his drug test in Jan, so who knows. Other than that, there isnt any MMA fighters that I know of that would, or are likely to, switch to WCL.

i know of a couple of mma fighters that are better stand up fighters than they are ground fighters. When and if the money gets big enough they will cross over. It's a better product over here. Right wrong or indifferent the main man in mma is the iceman and he's not a ground fighter. everybody wait' s to see if he knocks somebody out. In the WCL you know someone is going to be knocked out.

Donald I believe is training Ray just got back from Europe doing seminars and Jack is recovering from an almost fatal car wreck this easter. the following is from the Irish open in Dubin, the largest of the WAKO tounaments,

Black Belts Men

What a division. 92 fighters fought in the -69kg Black belt fighters, you heard it right 92 world class athletes in one category and what a category. The four semi finalists, Jack Felton, USA, Danny Ellis, England, Domenic Spechio, England and Kostas Tabolreas, Greece are all world class athletes who fought valiantly over four hours to get to the last four. The two finalists where Jack Felton, USA and Danny Ellis, England. Both where bruised and battered going in to the final and both gave great account of themselves, but once again Felton from the USA emerged victorious, taking the -69 title for the third year in a row

Grand Champion Male

OK on to the BIG ONE. This is without question the hardest fighting division in the world and most prestigious open title in existence ever. This year 223 of the worlds best fighters from 27 different countries entered one division to see who is the ultimate champion. This event was run on four areas over three hours, with the finalists of each area going forward to the semi finals in the night time show.

Semi Final one saw Raymond Daniels, USA fight Stelaneri from Italy over two by two minute rounds, the Italian fighter never got his rhythm and Daniels clearly emerged the victor. Semi final two was between Irelands Robbie Mc Menamey and Germanys Harold Smith. This was a rematch of the semi finals in the WAKo European championships where Smith emerged victorious by the narrowest of margins. Again like the previous bout this was an amazing fight off, both fighters not giving an inch, but this time mc Menamey getting the edge and emerging victorious.

The night time final was electric, with only two points between the fighters after the first round. It was absolutely down to the wire wit equal points with 5 seconds to go. Daniels however stretched out and caught Mc Menamey just before the bell to take the converted title. When interviewed, Raymond was very pleased with himself. “ I am delighted to take this title once again, it was very disappointing for me last year when I was unable to make it over, as I had been at the previous three events and it is the number one tournament on my calendar. This is the fourth time I have won the grand champion title. This is one of my greatest achievements, the Irish Open really brings the best out in me.

It drove the engine between the two of them as of right now the drunk is on life support and doesn't look like she's going to make it...seatbelts. airbags, big ol truck and the grace of God, that these two kids diidn't get killed also

POINT FIGHTING isn't FULL CONTACT! WCL is FULL CONTACT!!! POINT FIGHTING is what I did at recess when I was in school. Fighters like Thomas "Thunderkick" Longacre don't POINT FIGHT in his time away from WCL. He DOMINATES in FULL CONTACT. IF any of the other FIGHTERS besides the entire OKLAHOMA TEAM has been in any FULL CONTACT fights PLEASE let me know. I don't care whether the figt is in the US or over seas POINT FIGHTING is POINT FIGHTING. All POINT FIGHTING gets thrown out the door when you get punched or kicked in the teeth. I challenge all fighters this season to fight like the DESTROYERS and WCL was intended to be fought. IN THE CENTER NEVER BACKING DOWN!!!!!!!

THANK YOU
