I live in Oklahoma and i was able to attend the event in Tulsa in December. I was very impressed with alot of fighters that i had seen. And i saw a fighter and i found out that it was his first year with the WCL. It was David Taylor. Then i saw him fight in Texas and i was very frickin impressed. I hope he stays with it next year I think he will be amazing. but in tulsa he fought at 164 and in texas he fought at 174 and he got a knockout _________________ wcllover |

In tulsa he fought at 164lbs and in San antonio he was 178lbs. At either weight he is deadly. |

if he stays at 178 and destroyers win in tulsa then he will have to fight raymond daniels in miami at the semi finals and that is a fight i will fly to miami and see. I think that will be a highlight fight. _________________ wcllover |

Uhh, I didn't think he preformed very well in denver or in Oklahoma and those 2 guys in Texas he beat arn't any good anyway. He won't be compition for daniels if he couldn't beat tankson. Thats my opionion though. Don't get me wrong I want some to knock daniels on his butt for the way he carrys himself. |

When he was beat by tankson it was his first fight for the WCL. And since then he has done nothing but improved. Even if he doesnt beat daniels this year, next year he will have alot more expirence. I think Taylor is going to suprise everyone. _________________ wcllover |

i agree he needs better timing. and i'm not saying he is better than daniels. but from the fights i've seen daniels has had no competition. With the right training, next year taylor may be able to stand toe to toe with daniels if he stays at 178. All i'm saying it taylor is a good fighter and next year he will perform 10 times better than he did this year. _________________ wcllover |

thats true he could if some one could give him the training, but he is a muyi-tai fighter. Muyi-tai fighters are taught to fight flat footed so are most kickboxers, boxers and karate type fighters are tought the best foot movement. If you have foot movement u don't have to be good or even close when you fight some one flat footed just like daniels, he isn't as good as hyped up to be but he has perfect timing and foot movement. |

I just cant wait to see next year. I think oklahoma is on its way to be the best and if not this year i think they can do it next year if they keep most of the same fighters. I'm excited to see the eastern conf. fights in tulsa next month. I havent seen any of their fights. _________________ wcllover |

There are all different types of boxing styles, most teach to stay on you toes, this gives you better movement. Muay Thai fighters and low-kick Kickboxers actually are best keeping there weight on there back leg to allow them to check low kicks to the legs. They stay on there ball of the foot on the front leg. Full-contact/American rules kickboxers stance is like that of a boxers with the weight on the front leg, this gives them more power in there punches. Thai fighters shift there weight to the front foot when they are punching but return weight to the rear leg in order to check leg kicks. In the WCL, there is no time to do this. Leg checking once in a while is ok, but the pace is too fast for defensive fighting like this. Full-throtle action is totally different style and your offense is your best defence.

well i disagree with you steam roller, but i do agree that is fast paced and there is no time to do any of that. as i was saying he is tought somthing for somany years and still competes in it, it would hurt him ouside the wcl to change it now. So thats why he wont be able to handle some one with great footmovement and timing. |

taylor is a boxer and a kickboxer. He had one pro fight before he joined the WCL and just after 4 rounds of fighting he is already good competition for the veterns of the WCL. He has the heart of a fighter. And i promise you he will prove you wrong fighter 1982 _________________ wcllover |
