I was completly disappointed in the event even if Oklahoma would of one i felt it was a complete flop. Bad judgeing and refs attendance i would say around 1500 so someone made a mistake for Denver did not promote well. To many mistakes in the production. I know that Chuck was not pleased as i was only a few seats from him. I hope things get ironed out fast as of this point it doesnt look good for the WCL if they want to stay around.

they didn't have the venue tied down till two weeks 10 days before the event. I agree they need to get marketing off their butts. I talked with Jeff Smith after Jack's fight and he has some great ideas. chuck needs to get some of these guys that have been there before involved. they have no common sense when it comes to marketing and how do you not have a venue months in advance?

I am in agreement that the Denver event was less than anticipated. After the success of last season, it would be expected that the first event in the 2nd season would pick up where the last one left off. The Denver event regressed so far that it was way worse than anything ever produced by the WCL. Granted, no show runs perfectly, but it appears that the WCL is a big money event, and it's grade this time was right at a low-budget performance.

Case in point: 1. During the Longacre/Felton bout, the bell rang after 1 minute of fighting.
2. There was at least one instance where the wrong fighter info was displayed before the entrance of the next fighters - This happened before the Sites/Ashley fight where pictures and info for two guys of the Denver/Texas bouts were dispalyed.
3. There was an extreme inconsistency in the two referees that ref'd the bouts. Included in that is the fact that the ref's weren't calling the penalties that have been set out by the League. It doesn't do any good to have the rules if they aren't enforced. The major ones being passivity and holding.
4. The judging of the rounds seemed suspect also. How can a guy who gets a standing 8-count, still receive 11 points, and none of those being penalty points? Every other fighter who had a standing 8-count received 6 points, unless they had penalty points (I believe this was the heavyweight alternates). Then there was the Sites/Ashley fight, which was anyone's guess on what fight they were watching......
5. The coaches didn't have a chance to evaluate their team members before the start of the 2nd rounds. So how is a coach to know if the fighters are ready for round two?

Hopefully admin and management looks at the information that is posted by spectators and fans, and that they take into consideration when setting up the next event. Otherwise, they may repeat the same mistakes and end up losing fans of the WCL.
