My boxing coach and I have been talking about getting my amateur's license and getting some fights. This is my last year to compete in the open division, next year it'll be the masters division for me. _________________ www.mybodypotential.com |

That would be cool. What have you competed in before? I see that you have done some kickboxing. Would this be the first time you apply for the licenses or have you boxed competively before. I would like to do a battle of the badge boxing event. My boxing coach and I have talked about it before. The only problem I have right this second is training like I should. My wife and I just bought a new home so I am trying to rent out my other one and we just found out that she is pregnant. It is nice to see that you are thinking about competeing because I am about a year and a half away from the masters division too. I start thinking am I to old for this but with you thinking about it too makes me think that I am not. Now with having a child on the way, I want them to know that you can do anything so age is just a number. |

Hey man, congrats on the pregnancy!
I've fought in an open tournament, a kickboxing tournament under international kickboxing rules and two exhibition Muay Thai fights. I was supposed to make my amateur debut at the Tahi Festival last April but I got injured in training. My MT coach has tried to get me to go amateur for a while but I'm not sure I want to as the match ups for MT amateur fights are wack. I think the boxing match ups are better and safer as they have A,B, and C divisions and then a masters division. But yeah, this would be my first time applying for a license. _________________ www.mybodypotential.com |

lol...I took the fight too soon. I completely forgot that my wife's cousin is getting married on that day so I had to tell my trainer I couldn't do it. Family comes first. _________________ www.mybodypotential.com |

I fought this past Saturday. Fought a guy that was 20 pounds heavier than me and with much more experience. End results? I got KO'ed at the end of the 1st round.
Not the way I would like to have the fight go but I learned from it. So I gotta move on, train harder and do better next time. _________________ www.mybodypotential.com |

Why on earth would you And more importantly Why would your coach let you go into a match - fight - cage - ring with a guy 20 lbs heavier than you and with much more experience than you..... Was he trying to get you hurt... Were you trying to get yourself knocked out....
Train harder - no .... get smarter of who you fight.. |
