I was at the event and I did not think the reffing was perfect, but it was consistent. There were not "visible" favorites. I felt like there were two questionable decisions all night, and neither was completely unreasonable. |

How can you call Santiago - taking a knee in the middle of the fight is not questionable. How can you say that her running away for the last 45 seconds is not "favorable" to the "stars" of the WCL.
How can you say that to allow Daniels to do his little routine before the fight begins is not showing favortism.
Are you saying that if a muai tai fighter when in there - he would be allowed to do his little ceremony with the bowing and nodding all around the mat ? Come on. |

Santiago looked like she was hurt due to something unrelated to the fight, I think the same treatment would have been given to any other fighter (similar to when Gee hurt his shoulder at the last SA event). And yes, if a muay thai fighter did a routine prior to a fight that people liked, I'm sure they would allow it (even if it was as dumb and drawn out as Daniels' routine). |
