Unfortunately, I think that the WCL is done. Last time I checked they said that the season was supposed to start next month. No new or anything from the higher ups at the WCL. Unfortunately I don't think they are coming back. It's a shame that they can't do smaller shows in smaller venues such as Indian Casinos here in California.

"WCL pushes season 3 to 2010"
This series was 'the one' to finally kick off a more in-depth interest in all forms of 'combat sports' - be such a shame to see it disappear after finishing on what I thought was such a high from last season. Looking at the efforts of the fighters, the solid commentary (still missing mezger though - and Chad Range who hosted Turf Wars was hilariously entertaining), the size of the crowds, the atmosphere and the overall reaction I could find both from other viewers and the reaction of the crowds at the shows.. well.. I can only assume that the WCL must have been mismanaged on a pretty epic scale for it to disappear like this.. |

Just heard on pointfighter.com thread that the WCL is no more froma friend of Chuck's...If you follow MMA you know that Corey Schaffer is working for strikeforce and quit on the WCL.

| Does anyone else laugh thier arse off when they see Corey parade around the Strikeforce cage holding up the belt.... Talk about a Napoleon Complex.... Too funny... |
