Naturally, this is my forte...

Have there been any other capoeiristas fighting in WCL, or do any of you have experience going against a capoeirista in WCL-style matches?

PLease, spare the the 'capoeira's a dance and dancers get stomped' please... I've heard it enough from other groups.

Looking for an honest discussion.

Thanks
Mago

Why don't you try entering some tournaments that allow for alot of contact? This will answer your question. I practiced Capoeira for four years and absolutely love the art but honestly it's very tough to make it work in a fight.

I know former D1 wrestler Stepeh Abas did Capoeira and he stated that it helped him in wrestling and shaping his "style" of wrestling.

Not an answer to your question just a side note.

Yeah, there's another guy in my gym that did Capoeira for a number of years as well. He does a really good job of incorporating his Capoeira into his Muay Thai which makes it a very unorthodox style and very difficult to fight against. However, his style is a blend of MT and Capoeira with a little bit of boxing and karate thrown in for good measure.
