am a weak, weak man. I gotta say that diet is probably the hardest part of serious training. I can deal with the sweat and pain aspects of the training but fighting back certain cravings is almost impossible. For example, since this morning I've been craving an Oreo cookie shake from jack in the Box and finally had to give in. Now I feel guilty as f*** for having it since I still have about 8 pounds to lose within a month's time.
Anyone else have trouble sticking to a certain diet when training? I know I should eat right everyday, but junk food is just sooooo good. |

Treats and sweets are GOOOD, I agree, but the sacrifice of proper nutrition pays of ten fold. It is tough but if you can get past the first 3-4 weeks then the rewards are really great. Physically it's tremendous to feel and look good and mentally it makes you so much stronger. I won't try to say I do not cheat because I do, but only once in awhile and 85% of the time I try to be good. I have to cheat now and again to be able to keep on with healthy eating or I will probably STUFF my face.
I do feel thousands of time better mentally and physically when I behave myself, so it is worth it in the long run. Don't feel guilty for cheating, you need to have a cheat meal now and again (that is if you are good more of the time than not, lol). _________________ The shortest and surest way to live with honour in the world, is to be in reality what we would appear to be; and if we observe, we shall find, that all human virtues increase and strengthen themselves by the practice of them.

I find that when Im training - Im not tempted by junk food so much...... when Im not training - DIFFERENT STORY!
When Im doing the usual 3 hours a day, my body craves what it needs... which is nutrients. Guess Im lucky!
My suggestion to you is to trick yourself. Convince yourself that your body is craving fresh crisp vegetables and (for you meat eaters out there) juicy tender chicken/pork/beef etc.
Just a suggestion anyway _________________ "Praise be to the God of my strength,
