As long as Connor is dealing out the kind of damages we have seen so far he can be as cocky as he wants.
As for Wilson you have to bend the knee a bit to a man who is 15 years past his prime and 20 years older than his competition.
Takes b@lls just to step up.
Still would have liked to have seen a 25 year old Junior go head to head with any of these guys.
Those of us from Texas know what the man could do in his day.
As for the ongoing debate about Point vs. Kickboxing it appears to me the WCL will weed out both the weak tag-masters as well as the sluggish one dimensional full contact fighters.
In the end Chuck has taken the dynamic of a fast paced point fight and cross-bred it with the katy bar the door explosiveness and power of full contact.
As for the evolution GM mentioned the great point fighters should make the transition to great full contact fighters IF they are willing to make the changes in style and training methodologies.
In this ring a point without real power means nothing.
A well placed shot on the other hand can turn the tide or win the night.
That being said-WCL if well promoted and managed should put life back into stand up martial arts competition.
I like MMA but it too many times digresses to a roll around on the floor contest which does not have the appeal of a good contact match.
Knockouts sell in any arena of combative sports and the WCL has produced some real highlites.
Hats off to the baddest man alive for dreaming it up.
And God knows we need it. |

WELL AS WE ALL KNOW ACTIONS SPEAK A BIT LOUDER THAN WORDS, I GUESS YOU'LL JUST HAVE TO SHOW UP AND WATCH AS A DECIMATE ANOTHER OF SPORT KARATES FINEST. IM THE MAN HAS NO HANDS AND AFTER THE TRAINING THAT IVE BEEN THROUGH THAT RING ISN'T BIG ENOUGH FOR HIM TO BE ABLE TO RUN AND IF JUMPING JACK THINKS HIS THRUSTING ATTACKS ARE GOING TO BE OF ANY USE, HE BETTER GET A SLEDGE HAMMER. AND DONT HATE ON ROAD HOUSE THATS AN AMERICAN CLASSIC HA |

Felton looked like a much better fighter than he was last year. Connors vs. Felton will likely be the best fight in the 147lb lbs class this year (if the two team fight). |

Felton will have a good chance of winning as long as he keeps running from his opponents & fighting like it's a point tournament, in my opinion. |

bigj, Longacre was not hurt was ready to return the decision was made without a decussion from the head coach. So dont think that he was down as he was not he wanted to go out but their process needing the info for the second half even befoer any talk i feel is not fair to the fighter or the head coach on any team another reason that there needs to be more organazation for the WCL |

Thomas is a great kid so in no way am I trying to insinuate anything. he did however look like he was in a fight and it just gets old the whole point thing. Jack has he own style... I am old enough to listen to same of shit from those like Harley girl when Ali beat Sonny and the flack he took for "dancin" in his prime years when compared to the "hitters" of his day ...I do question the coaches decision . Longacre if he was ready to fight he must have hated that one. The second guy wasn't near the fighter Longacre is. I don't understand why if he was ready to fight they'd sit him down when they were down. He had to be their go to guy. Madagan (sp) is lucky he didn't come back out. after pushing Ray out the ring round one was embarass him and round two knock him out. |

WELL CONGRATS TO THE LA STARS ON THERE VICTORY, THEY LOOK TO BE THE TEAM TO BEAT IN THE WEST COAST DIVISION. UNFORUNATELY FOR THEM COME FINALS THEY ARE GOING TO HAVE TO FIGHT THE DEFENDING CHAMPS WHO ARE NOW DEFENDING THEIR HOME TURF AND OUR TITLE. ALL IS STILL THE SAME AS IT WAS LAST YEAR WE ARE STILL HUNGRY AS HOSTAGES AND READY TO TAKE OUT ANYONE OR ANY TEAM THAT STAND ACROOSS FROM US. AS FAR AS JACK FELTON GOES HE BETTER RUN, BUT THERE IS NOWHERE TO HIDE...............IRISH OUT! |

I'll be glad when everyone has the chance to see the fight. It'll show that it was red chasing black for most of the fight. Granted that was a nice axe kick by Felton, but that was Longacre's fault for giving too much time to a point fighter. Up until that point, Felton's defense was holding without throwing anything behind it. The ref FINALLY called holding twice on Felton, but neglected to call any passivity, as well as the numerous other times Felton was holding. |
