I know Daniels from way back in the day when he was a young fighter. He is not cocky at all
Yeah , when he is in the ring he does stuff to people that would make people thing that he is cocky.
But the other guy is trying to take is head off. I would want to see Daniels to stand there and tell the guy how much of a good job he is doing.
When he is in the ring it’s a show for the fans. That’s his style ALWAYS HAS ALWAYS WILL
His father was my sensai
So was raymond

so i guess his fight against no namer Jeremiah Metcalf really proved my case on point. he got his butt whipped outside the ring, got punched in the face, and so on and so on... youtube it and read the responses. I'm not alone when I say the cocky pretty boy got what he deserved. =) |

eventhough he was beaten in his mma debut.. (and yes i watched him get raped in the cage) it will not change my opinion.. it just proved that he is human and he can be beaten at something he is inexperienced at.. daniels still remains undefeated in the wcl and chidi had no chance in hell of beating daniels inside the ring or outside.. chidi got his arse handed to him not once but twice in the wcl and showed no improvement.. and i doubt he will even come back next year... _________________ wcllover |

WCL Lover, I respect your opinions, but believe you are being rash in your statements about Chidi.
Raymond Daniels is the best fighter in the WCL in his weight class. His ground game is of no importance in WCL talk (I’m sure you agree!). Raymond has won 17 straight WCL matches and recorded 9 KO's/TKO's and nobody has beaten him. Think about this, nine matches stopped in less than 3 minutes. Pound for pound he is the best in the WCL (again, I’m sure you agree!)
Chidi has only fought two fights in the WCL. In his pro debut, he fought Raymond Daniels, 15 wins, 0 losses 8 KO's at time of fight with Chidi (very high profile fight for a rookie).
In Chidi's second WCL match, he fought Lee Goodman. Lee Goodman’s WCL record is un-defeated with 3 straight victories. Lee Goodman is a tough fighter and is no joke!
Chidi is a young (19 years old!) fighter that has to adapt his Muay Thai skills to meet the harsh and fast paced style of the WCL. Like any fighter entering this league has to do no matter what discipline or background they come from in the fight game!

i'm not saying chidi is a bad fighter.. i'm saying he had no business going into the wcl when he did.. he was in no way a threat to daniels or goodman.. it was pretty much an easy win for new jersey and LA.. and i do agree daniels ground fighting has nothing to do with the wcl _________________ wcllover |

I believe if Daniels works on his ground game, a great deal, he will become much more capable in the MMA arena. Many MMA guys start strong in one or more aspects (boxer/wrestler/Mauy Thai/BJJ) and then evolve into well-rounded MMA competitors. Given time I think Daniels has got what it takes to be really superior. I look forward to seeing the evolution of his training. Good luck Raymond! _________________ The shortest and surest way to live with honour in the world, is to be in reality what we would appear to be; and if we observe, we shall find, that all human virtues increase and strengthen themselves by the practice of them.

I'd have to agree with Wcllover on this one. Chidi may be a good fighter, but he had two chances in the WCL (one more than most when you consider his first "performance") and did not do a good job. Frankly, he was boring to watch. He lays down when he is in trouble. |

When he fought against the NJ Tigers he ran away and lay down a few times, it was a pretty sad display. I hope he does evolve and come back stronger next season. _________________ The shortest and surest way to live with honour in the world, is to be in reality what we would appear to be; and if we observe, we shall find, that all human virtues increase and strengthen themselves by the practice of them.
