This is an awesome line-up for Oklahoma! This is going to be a very stong team. I'm giving Dale Cook an A+ in recruiting for this event. Chidi Njokuani and Scott Clark will be the stongest opponents that Raymond Daniels has faced in the WCL this year. Patrick Smith is going to put a whooping on Donald Vickers like he has never seen. This will be a great show!
I'm picking Oklahoma to beat the LA Stars by at least 6 points! This line-up is just too strong. No disrespect to LA, I just believe that in the end Oklahoma will be on top!

Well...I was hoping for an Oklahoma win myself because I love David Taylor, "Bodyrocka", Chidi, and Jerry too. They are a great team. Loved them on Turf Wars recently. I was there to see the show live in San Antonio and it was a great show, Oklahoma did their thing but lost unfortunately.
Raymond Daniels took out both his competitors with what looked all to easy for him. I would love to see someone bring a decent challenge for this fighter!
Alicia Ashley and Jerry are always great to watch, but I wasn't as impressed watching them this time around. Alicia won the first half against Jerry and Jerry did not fight the second half.
Oklahoma and LA were a great deal of crazy combative fun to watch! _________________ The shortest and surest way to live with honour in the world, is to be in reality what we would appear to be; and if we observe, we shall find, that all human virtues increase and strengthen themselves by the practice of them.

i thought daniels fought pretty weak this weekend.. He also pulled some BS moves and was never called on him.... oklahoma had la beat until the second half and oklahoma might not have lost if la would have had at least a couple of their penality's called..... if their going to say no passivity and no stalling then they need to call it on both teams.. the ref's in a way took oklahoma's victory from them.... and after 2 seasons of watching the WCL i can offically say i'm bored with daniels .. we all knew who was going to win when the scores were tied and daniels was the last fight.. and keep in mind oklahoma lost by 7 points and 6 of them being penalities.. i think we all know which team is actually on top... its just too bad the ref's and judges favored la _________________ wcllover |

It didn’t take long for the excuses to start. The ref’s did not take Oklahoma’s victory from them, Oklahoma took it away from themselves by not fighting the starters in the second half. As for refs, I had a guy sitting next to me yelling the whole time about how the refs were favoring Oklahoma, and I certainly did not see them favor LA... How can you say you are bored with Daniels, do you prefer slow fights, easy to execute techniques, and judge's decision? The guy is electrifying a a lot of fun to watch. I bet you'd love him if he was a Destroyer. |

its not an excuse.. its the fights i watched.. and how were they favoring oklahoma when they had 6 penalitys called and LA only had one.. Why is it okay for daniels to kick someone in the nuts and while their doubled over stick him and the ref not call time?? And i agree some of the starters should of come back in the second half.. but they chose to sit the bench.. The destroyers were the only ones who scored any KO's during their match.. Daniels should of KO'd both his opponets.. And i like daniels as a person and respect him as a fighter.. maybe i should of said i'm bored with daniels in the WCL... we all know he's gonna win and this was the first fight he has ever disappointed me.. dont get me wrong.. i'm a woman and i love to watch the sexy daniels shimmy (his entrance into the combat zone)... But it wasnt just in the west coast fights that i thought the scoring was screwy.. i saw some favoring in the east coast fight to.. _________________ wcllover |

Call it what you will, I’ll call it an excuse since you are giving a litany of reasons as to why your team lost instead of owning it. It is just silly to say the refs rigged the fights, they are professionals (also, if anything, wouldn’t it behoove the league to have the Oklahoma team fighting for the championship in Tulsa next month?). I’m obviously biased towards LA and you toward Oklahoma, but this one was not on the refs, it was on the Oklahoma starters. |

i am i die hard oklahoma fan.. and i was very disappointed by the outcome.. but name one ko by the la stars at the fight????? you cant because there wasnt any they only won by penalty points.. But they did do their job and came back out in the second half so i do give you that.. but daniels was weak and so was bourelly their top fighters, but with out daniels they wouldnt of won... or maybe if cook would have put in a fighter that has had some expirence in the WCL to go against daniels the outcome would of been different.. but you cant sit here and tell me that the refs called the fight fair.... they gave you LA's win this year.. next year oklahoma will TAKE it _________________ wcllover |

You can win fights with judge's decisions, they do not have to be by knockout. If the WCL only awarded points for knockouts, Oklahoma would have won, but there is more to the scoring system than that so your argument makes no sense. |

Question ! Why is Daniels allowed to get into the ring - drop a knee, do a little prayer, do a little form thing a ma gig then start the round when he is good and ready. The Ref (the old guy) just stood there, watched with a big old grin on his face. Looked at Daniels to see if he was ready to start, then gave the time keeper the go ahead to ring the bell.
Was almost as bad as the Ref helping up Jennifer Santiago after she fell down in pain. Wether she was droped from a shot or threw her back out on her own. She fell to the floor in the middle of the fight like she wanted a "time out". The M..... F...... Ref helped her up. Then allowed her to run away for the last 45 seconds of the round - no standing 8 count - no points for stalling, no points for passivity. Not a dam thing.
Two situations, two different teams where all they want are for their Poster Fighters to Win and Succeed. |

my argument does make sense.. because when your sitting there watching a good fighter just run and not get called on anything but then someone from the opposite team steps into the red and he gets called for stalling.. even the more strict judge was bein very leniant towards LA. And finally someone who was at the same fights i was and watched the same fights i watched commented.. munah got screwed out of her win... i had to walk out after that one.. those fights were for show and thats it.. and to that one guy who posted a topic and asked if it was for show or sport.. i used to think it was a sport but now it does seem like a show... _________________ wcllover |

I was there too in San Antonio and I was very confused with the rulings myself. I thought Holland's fight was definitely hers to win yet Santiago got the points. Anyone who was there could see how hurt Santiago was in that fight and that Holland won it. She ran away a lot and not once got called for stalling.
I think something got screwed up with David Gonzalez's fight too because his opponent got dropped three times but the ref only called one knockdown with an 8 count.
I got so sick of all the crap by the time OK fought LA that I just couldn't watch the nonsense. I did stay to try to watch but was dissapointed. Maybe Coach Cook is right that OK beat themselves, but there was a lot of BS that night from the Ref's and Judges. There are visibly favorites and you can see it on the faces of the REFs a lot of the time. I am a new fan to the WCL this season and was looking forward to the action but I guess the WCL is as political as boxing and MMA. This is the way it seems it will always be.
I will still watch with anticipation in the hopes that I will see some amazing KO's and heart from all the WCL teams and their fighters. I think the League needs to take a good hard look at the BS and the obvious point/rule favoritism though! _________________ The shortest and surest way to live with honour in the world, is to be in reality what we would appear to be; and if we observe, we shall find, that all human virtues increase and strengthen themselves by the practice of them.
