ray is by far the closest thing to ali that combat martial arts has that's for sure

How do u think oklahoma's new guy in the 178 div. or atleast I think he has moved in the 178 from 164lbs Taylor will do against your boy?

No joe was great but was a brawler that would knock you block off. you never saw Joe do an ali shuffle in the ring. Joe I never thought was as good as jeff. I do think he had too much size for Bill the legends of that day.

So you consider the shuffeling to be like ali. If thats true, them ray needs to improve on it. I was considering jow lewis as one cause he was the best and has been for some while. Now I was asking you think that boy in the 164lb division that moved up 178 in san antonio will do against your boy if he stays in the 178 division.

taylor is a great boxer/kickboxer. he knows how to get in the inside and he has great speed and tons of power. i think if he ever got the chance to fight daniels, daniels would do his best to keep taylor on the outside. I dont think daniels can handle taylors power. but daniels is very quick. I think it would be a great match, but i dont see it happening any time soon.

I don't think it would be close unless Ray was hurt or something. I just don't think you guys realize how hard it is to get a good shot on Ray. the best shot so far was a shot that glanced off his throat. all you people see is the jump spins, the angles etc. He has fought every show but the first one and no one has laid a glove on him. what make you think this guy is...

I do believe that Ray needs to work on his Ali shuffle.

never said daniels isnt great. i have always praised him. i just think taylor will show to be good competition for him

Bigj, I like Daniels as much as the next guy. I also think that he is good for the WCL because of his showmanship. That said, you make it sound like he is a greatest fighter that has ever walked. Let's be real here. I'm not sure how many other contact leagues you follow, but suffice to say that everyone loses eventually. Liddell, Wandy, Silva, Mirko, and Henderson have all lost, and many of those guys are considered the top strikers in the world right now. Heck, even Muhammad Ali lost a few matches now and again.

Daniels can dance around, throw jump kicks with his guard down and be effective. But make no mistake: the people who currently fight in the WCL are, on the whole, inexperienced full-contact fighters. In other words, his level of competition in his weight class is limited and that style might lend itself to the current line-up of fighters, but that won't always be effective on every fighters style. And to you compare him to Muhammad Ali? I won't even get into how fundamentally different boxing is to the WCL, but let's not start any ridiculous comparisons until Daniels professional fight record is closer to 50-0 than 10-0.

Ray just has to much reach for taylor. taylor has to get inside and that's just not going to happen with some like Ray who on top of all the other things we've talked about has size and reach on taylor.

I have nothing good to say at this point on wonderebread. The fact he won't get back in the ring where he GOT BEAT! as per his dad with Raymonds death neck twist and even the score says it all period!

Regardless of wether Ray ever gets beat. like you said even ali lost a couple, it will never be a loss from stephen wonderbread thompson.s

There has been a lot of questions as to the greatness of Raymond Daniel's. I personally have a background in both continuous kick boxing, full contact and point fighting and in hundreds of fights over the years there has been only two guy's that have blown my mind. Jason Tankson and Raymond Daniels. I was in Hungary with Steven Thompson in 2005 for the WAKO Worlds when he won the Light Heavy in Full and I won the Super Heavy in Continuous and Semi (Point Fighting) and Steven was amazing. When I heard a year or so ago that Raymond was fighting him, I had no doubt in my mind that Raymond would win. It was a shame that Thompson twisted his knee because the two rounder would have been a good one. Elite Level point sparring (NASKA) forces it's stars to have extreme speed, and movement because as mentioned before we are trained to make people miss and not to get hit. I came up training with Steve "Nasty" Anderson and he is my trainer to this day... He is known as one of the greatest point fighters of all time. The first couple times he saw Raymond back in the late 90's he said"that guy will be as dominant as I was if he can stay out of trouble". Well Raymond has stayed out of trouble and is pounding everyone in his wake. I have fought Raymond 6 times over the years (first time in 1998) most recent in (October 2007) and I'm telling you nobody can touch this guy. I have had dozens of kick boxing matches in Europe with 6'7 260lbs Slovakians and they do not hit like Raymond. The key FIGHTER1982 is the punch or kick you can't see is the one that hurts you. You can dog point fighting all you want but that is what made Raymond, Jason, Jack and the rest of the WCL point stars the Kick Boxers they are today... Raymond and Jason would wipe the floor in the UFC too... Fighting is fighting, Elite Point Fighters can adapt to any fighting style if they grew up with a well rounded martial arts training regiment.... All of these guy's did, and will dominate any type of fighting they do!!!
